This has been coming up on my random play a lot lately, and every time, I have to look and see who is playing. This mix is surprising and unique, jumping from sound to sound and I find myself jamming along. Bless you for releasing this into the world.
Favorite track: Salt in the Wound.
The complete works of Yakui Bass Camp. This includes a huge amount of tracks that were never released anywhere, many that have only been published on Soundcloud and at least two albums I never bothered putting together and actually releasing.
I always had a very light attidute towards the project, getting famous was never the concern, it was always about having fun. At the same time that made me very lazy about things like actually putting together releases, promotion and so on. Release scheduling was haphazard at best, posting stuff for funzies on Soundcloud was enough 90% of the time.
I've had some people asking if I'm ever gonna make more music as Yakui Bass Camp ever again, and I've wondered about it from time to time myself too. Ultimately, I just don't feel it's right to continue with this project. Long story short, let's just say that I'm not...under the influence of the same influences as I was when I made this music anymore.
It didn't feel right to just vanish away either and leave the substantial body of work to just rot on some hard drive either.
So here is my parting gift to the few dedicated crazies who kept their interest throughout the years.
